Avenue Cafe & Bistro - Toronto, Ontario

This is my go-to cafe for the ambience, coffee, delicious food and wonderful service. You can tell the workers here put so much heart into what they do and take great pride in providing a positive customer experience. I come here probably 2-3 times per week and am always greeted ... with a smile. A couple of times my order had taken a while (which I was happy to wait patiently for) and the worker gave me a coffee or baked good for free as a consolation. They don't have to do that, but they do. These are good people operating a wonderful business - it honestly makes me sad to see some negative reviews on here about their service. I agree with the other negative reviews. The cashier is grumpy as heck and the customer service is atrocious. I spent almost $15 on snacks and even added a tip! I was on my way to The Art Gallery of Ontario and I wanted a quick bite to eat. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Chic cafe with great lighting from floor-to-ceiling windows and soft jazz music in the background. Serves coffee as well as lunch food like pizza, sandwiches and salads. Have tried the fried chicken sandwhich and the turkey club, and both were pretty tasty. Accessible location right by St Patrick subway station.

A beautiful cafe with a vibrant vibe and friendly staff. This is my regular stop for coffee. We tried their food for the first time today and absolutely loved it. The chicken in the sandwich was moist and tender. The tomato basil soup and the garlic bread was refreshing. Will definitely come back! EDIT: We did ... come back! Tried their wild mushroom pizza and can say it was the best we've ever had! The veggie sandwich and KFC (Korean fried chicken burger) were on point too! Julia was lovely as usual and served us coffee and dessert on the house to add to our celebratory lunch! My favourite place for a delicious meal, amazing coffee and for having a lovely time!
