Five Guys - Toronto, Ontario

I’m a big fan of Five Guys and this location is usually great because they have milkshakes so my kids like it. Haven’t been to this location for at least a year. The quality definitely has dropped drastically. The cashier is barely understadable. We ordered our food and sat down. The food was ... ready after about 15mins which is fine, it’s fresh to order. The patties were crispy? Usually they are soft and juicy. Someone cooking doesn’t know what they are doing. The burgers aren’t even half as good as they used to be. Not worth the price that’s for sure. The fires and milkshake were good. The restaurant garbages were overflowing full, one washroom out of service and the men’s had hair in the sink, no soap, no paper towels and urine everywhere in the toilet and floor. That washroom has not been cleaned all day for sure. Meanwhile, the staff use this too? Gross. Never coming back to this location. I will never come back to this location. Listen to the warnings from other reviewers. My friends had never had Five Guts before, said let's go then. This was the first mistake made by choosing this location. The fries were mushy and undercooked. Ordered Large Cajun fries and was given a barely ... full, barely seasoned cup of fries. The Burger itself was fine, but my bun got super soggy due to the primary reason I will not return to this store. Friend and I ordered milkshakes. Called our order, got the food, and was told it would be a minute for the milkshake. It's not a problem. Girl was on the machine, making them not a problem. 5 minutes go by, and the milkshakes she was making was for an app delivery order. Fine, no worries, kindly remind guy. I'm waiting on the 2 milkshake. He tells the girl. She goes to the machine. Makes one, takes to the side where they package orders, then goes to the back. They come out 5 minutes later with a bucket of fries and starts cooking fries. Once again, speak to the worker. Asks to see my receipt. I had it to him. He says just one second. Tells the fry girl about the milkshakes again. She goes over to the machine, and over 7 minutes makes 3 milkshakes. 2 goes to delivery app orders, and one goes to a customer who ordered after me. So now this is intentional. No one can be thus absent-minded and trash at their job. Guy still sees me standing their. Asks employees about my shakes. The machine is out of the soft serve cream and has to be refilled, another 6 minutes pass, and they finally produce the milkshakes we ordered. Honestly, for the high prices, I don't think this is worth it at all. The burger was middling and not the strongest in flavour in contrast to other burger spots. The fries were pretty decent though and we're quite abundant. That was nice. Besides that, I expected much more in terms ... of flavour. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger and the bacon outshined everything else. There just wasn't much flavour to be had. The fries were nicely salted, though. Read more

Yummy burgers! I love the fries too. There’s not much crowd when we went so parking was easy and they took our orders immediately. The staff were nice and smiley, very friendly when taking our orders and when they gave them. Will definitely go back for more burger and fries.

First time trying Five Guys and will not be back. Waited 30 minutes and our number wasn’t being called. Went to ask where our food was. Apparently they just missed 5 orders?? Like no one noticed the jump in numbers?? Mistakes happen so we said no problem thinking ... they would fix immediately but nope another 20 minutes to get our food. 3 little cheeseburgers (single patty), 1 cheeseburger (2 patties), 2 small fries and 3 regular pops was $75 and definitely not worth it in our opinion. Burger to bun ratio was brutal. Way to much average white bun. Not toasted or brioche just cheapest white bun possible. Fries while fresh cut were lacking flavour. Apparently the Cajun seasoning is extra charge and having already waited so long we didn’t want to wait to have seasoning added. No apology or compensation was offered and staff were acting like we did something wrong. I’m sorry but 5 families did not but patiently wait as you skipped from 53 to 60. Rudy burger is just west of this location and have a way better smash burger in our opinion. Fries are always great and they have never forgotten our order. Read more
