Big Smoke Burger - Toronto, Ontario

The burger was pretty good but definitely not for the price and portion size. Our meal came up to $40 for 2 people. Burger + onion rings and burger + poutine. We upgraded our combos but the portions were quite small. My poutine was cold and ... when I brought it back they explained to me how poutine is made from cheese curds that were refrigerated and offered to pour more gravy on top. Seeing as I was dissatisfied with this response they finally offered to remake the poutine and it somewhat better after but conoletely drowned in gravy. In general don't get the poutine if you're wanting a real properly made poutine. Onion rings were your typical from frozen type...not particularly great. Stick with the burgers. Read more

Love this place. Delicious burgers. Its like you are eating home-made burgers. Its really nice to have a place where you can customize everything on your food. The staff is very friendly and the place is very neat. Loved my experience here. Will go again.

Not completely horrible but definitely not good. For a burger chain, I'd much rather spend an extra $2 at South St. I ordered the Blue Burger with a Poutine side. Where was the blue cheese? Could not taste it. I also saw a green sauce which was supposed to be avocado ... but I tasted none of that. What I did taste was the mayo. Actually, no. I didn't taste mayo. I was only able to taste the overwhelming amount of salt in said mayo. The patty itself was OK, not dry. Couldn't tell you if it was seasoned properly because of the salt mayo. The gravy on the poutine was runny and had no hearty taste. Had to add lots of ketchup for there to be decent taste. Not worth a try. Read more

Good burgers, nothing extraordinary. Staff was courteous and the burgers were prepared while we waited. This location is clean and well lit.

The chicken burger was overcooked, but the beef burger was tasty. There were exactly 5 onion rings in my order. All in all, the food was okay, but I didn't feel that I got a good meal or value for what I paid.
