I visited this restaurant on May 19, 2022 and it was a horrible experience!!!! The woman that served me was very unpleasant!!!! She had this miserable look on her face during the entire transaction like she was doing me a favor. I ordered Curry goat with rice and peas. It was by ... far the worst Curry goat I ever had. I decided to try Simms out after my mechanic highly recommended it ( I had mentioned to him that I struggled to find really good jerk in the area). After trying it I can see why he eats there twice a week. I got the large jerk chicken meal, which ... came with generous amounts of rice/beans topped with some oxtail gravy, jerk chicken, and coleslaw. Wow!! So thankful for online reviews right now! I was literally about to confirm my order for Ritz because I have been craving jerk chicken. Upon reading their reviews, I remembered how horrific the service was the last time I ordered from them. I found the food to be decent, ... nothing more than that, but as someone who works in the industry.. Poor service - especially to this extent, will definitely deter me from returning. So glad I read the other negative reviews that steered me in the right direction!! Simms food is excellent.. Far better than anything I've ordered from Ritz in the past. I've had jerk from three other restaurants in the area. They were OK, but I always thought it could be so much better. I just ordered Simms for the first time and it's what I've always imagined jerk chicken would be like. Spicy and extremely flavorful, perfectly cooked and moist. ...
