Bistro West By East – Toronto Airport Marriott Hotel - Toronto, Ontario

Stayed at this hotel for several nights for a business trip. There are several sections of this hotel that are in the beginning stages of construction as the rooms are in need of an update and refresh. The room that I was given for 3 of 5 nights was in ... between two rooms that were under construction. After the second night I spoke with a staff member at the front desk and was told that this would only be for one day. The noise however, continued throughout the week and I was woken up by the sound of power tools each morning. After the third night I once again spoke with the same staff member at the front desk who rudely and reluctantly given a new room by hotel staff. There is no signage to indicate that this hotel is under construction and the response I was given when I asked for a new room was that other guests need to deal with the noise too, not just me. Platinum/Titanium beware! I stay at this property from 5 to 8 nights every month. This time around, I was told that I would not have M-Lounge access for this 5 night stay. Reason : rate chosen does not grant access to the lounge. My assistant made this ... booking and was not aware either. Tried to explain to 3 different staff members that this was a mistake, but no one could do anything about this. The total for my stay is $1625 , so probably not the cheapest rate. I bring a lot of business to that property, meetings etc...I will unfortunately choose another property in the future. Went here for the weekend for anime north. The discounts the hotel was giving was great. The staff were super nice. And attentive. My only issue is one of the pillows had some dried blood on it. And it was just left on and covered up with the fitting. But aside from that, it ... was a good visit. Read more
