Copacabana Grilled Brazilian - Toronto, Ontario

This was my favorite branch of copacabana. The food tasted amazing, and the atmosphere was stunning. We went on a Friday evening and got to experience the show they had put on at least 3 to 4 times during our stay. The food was amazing, but I gave it a 4 ... star for the service as we did not get all the meats come near our area to try. We did request a few. However, the select quality meats did not end up coming up to our table (such as the lamb), which is the only critic I would give this copacabana. Other than that, I would also highly recommend trying their chef specialities as well as their pork belly. I definitely thought it was worth the price on a weekend since we ate quiet a fair share of meat and had a good time enjoying the entertainment. Overpriced for the quality of food. Very fatty and oily, seasoned with a lot of salt (smart, with that and slow services you get full very fast) They have a live performance a couple times during the day which is very nice. The atmosphere is very loud and dark, impossible to have a ... conversation. The tip is mandatory and for the level of service is very disappointed. Some cuts will arrive rare/blue and some over cook. No one ask you how you want it. Best cuts of meat and shrimps will pass just once every hour… or two There is a limit of time for the buffet, 0 recommended for parties or large groups. I went twice this year, one with my boyfriend one with a group of friends. When we were having a two person dinner the attention was good but we still feeling like we barely got any good cuts of meat and we basically had to hunt the servers to get some food. For the group of friends, we were celebrating a birthday with a 15 people table. The service was bad, we had one waitress not just for the table, for the 5 other tables around… they were bringing bites of meat for just three people at the time. There was not a moment that at least half of the table had food, specially meat. Was the most inefficient and stressful service, I understand that large groups are hard to manage, but if we book a week before and they knew a bit party was coming, why not prepared for it? We all payed full price buffet and we barely eat. When we all finished eating I asked for dessert twice, the waitress asked me to wait. It took them an HOUR to clean the table, and when they finally did I asked again for dessert and she said that they really need the table and wasn’t able to bring us desserts for everyone… All of these is management problems, food is regular, but I don’t want to come back with that service and price. Took our mother there for Mother’s Day and what an experience it was! The food is truly incredible and the cocktails were delicious. The servers slowly come around to each table with differing meats and breads, all of which are cooked to perfection. Each piece of meat you take is ... like eating the best bite from full steak. For the three of us with two rounds of cocktails each, the bill wound up being approx. $400 total. Finally, do NOT miss out on the grilled pineapple when it comes around. Late review, dined beginning of May 2022 As a vegetarian going to a meat heavy resto I must say, I came out belly full and satisfied! Those bottomless served-to-table sides were delicious! I enjoyed myself thoroughly and ate alongside the meat-eaters all evening long plate for plate! Worth it for me! Hot, ... fresh, tasty and plated nicely. We arrived around 5:40pm which is very nice! Not too many people and the server could pass by us very often! They have so many options for beef! They also have chicken, lamb, and salmon. Also lots of options for sides (salad, mashed potatoes, Mac & Cheese, grilled stuff, etc). ... My family is amazed! It is a great place for beef lovers!!
