Its great. Simple as that. The quality of food you will receive from this restaurant is amazing. Everything is FRESH!! I believe that to be one of the most important things. The beef was soft and tender and packed with flavour and the calamari was cooked to perfection. Extra virgin ... olive oil is used and you can just taste the quality and difference when food is cooked with it. I highly recommend anyone to come here! Went to Royal Meats BBQ to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is located in an industrial part of South Etobicoke in the Kipling/North Queen area. The restaurant has a beautiful patio with lots of lush green plants and lights. We opted to eat inside. Inside they have a Meat Counter when all the fresh ... meats are displayed, giving it a chic fresh market vibe. We ordered their infamous 22OZ BONE-IN RIB EYE STEAK with a side of sautéed wild mushrooms and steamed rice. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection. It was one of the best steaks we’ve ever had in Toronto. It was juicy with just the perfect flavours. The sides were outstanding as well. The rice so fluffy and the mushrooms were delicious. 10/10 meal! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Loved loved loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. All the dishes being served looked amazing. Staff was friendly. One drawback was our server, can’t remember her name (long dark flowy hair + blue eyes) She made us feel a bit rushed to order and at the end of our meal, she simply came and left the bill and debit machine with us. Didn’t ask us if we wanted desert or an espresso or anything else, just gave the us terminal and walked away. Another server (a male) did come back after and ask us if we had a nice meal and if we wanted an espresso (which we declined) Otherwise the experience was great and we can’t wait to go back again and try out other dishes! Maybe because it was perfect weather for the patio, it was cool and it was heated it just hit right. Great place if you a drinking pretty big menu for the booze, had a 21 yr Macallan ( good not great ) and a big FAT 16oz veal chop. Wife spicy ... shrimp was great prefered it as my chop cut was solid but that spicy sauce was BLAM!!! Atmosphere is beautiful and it's a great date spot. We were initially coming to Royal Meats to possibly book an event and thus were going to meet the Manager, as well as, try out the menu. However, Manager wasn't there according to the waitstaff. The food was pretty and tasty. I ordered the 3 gourmet burgers. Deconstructed ones... nice. Truffle ... fries and beets as sides were delicious and shared amongst our party. Calamari and the chevaps wrap (?) was also ordered. Everything tasted great, however the service for water was a little underwhelming and receiving the final bill took awhile. We went when it wasn't too busy... but something was lacking. The interior is dark but with large screens of entertainment and the seating itself was comfy. I tried this restaurant after reading the reviews, which were very good, however my experience here was not as expected. The service was good. Our waitress came several times to find out how we were doing. The portion of the calamari was appropriate and came in normal waiting time. Our main courses did ... not come at the same time and for one of them the delay was significant. The plates are served alone, without anything. If you want a side it is an additional cost of about $10 for each one. So the cost of a meal ends costing 10 or 20 more of the listed price, making it very expensive compared to similar restaurants. The portions were really small for the price. The noise level is very high making it uncomfortable to have a chat with others in your table. Read more
