Plentiful supply of bagels and baked goods. Bagels are small, but there are many available to load up on in bulk. They can also be a bit hard if you go later in the day but the taste is still great! The interior can be a bit dark which subtracts from the ... comfy factor. Read more
Love this place. Very old school vibe. Affordable prices. Simply some of the best fresh bagels in Toronto. Try the breakfast sandwich!
It's a family friendly bakery! The food at the bakery is the greatest food I ever tasted, it's so yummy!! My favorite is the chocolate almond croissaint and the BLT their bagels are always fresh and in overall their food is the best it's always fresh!! 😃
Me & my girlfriend recently got a home in the Jane & Dundas area. We usually like to have a bagel for breakfast on Sunday mornings. We got talking about great Canadian bagel company & how great there bagels are & how be nice find fresh bagels instead of store ... bought. Seeing as GCB are few & far between these days, I took to yelp to find a local bagel place. After checking the reviews on a few places, Pascal's Baguette & Bagels stood out to me. The general complaint was that the service wasn't very friendly. This complaint usually doesn't detour me, when it comes to Yelp i've found that, some people go out looking for a friend not a meal & some people just go out looking to nit pick or for a argument. So today (Sunday morning) I headed out to Pascal's. Upon entering it looks like a nice quaint little Bagel shop. A couple was having a coffee & a bagel near the window in the front & as I approched the counter at the back, a elderly lady said Pascal had just popped in the back to make her breakfast. A moment later Pascal came out from the back & immediatly acknowledged me with a good morning what can I get for you. I asked for a half dozen bagels any kind whatevers fresh. He left to the back & returned with warm bag of Bagels. I saw cheese croissant wrapped hotdogs & chocolate croissants in the display window. I asked him for 2 of each. I only intended to get bagels but they looked so good. After getting me two of each in seperate brown bags, he took my stuff to the register. Total came to $15, which I didn't find to be to pricey. Your talking fresh baked goods, not dempsters bagels from No Frills. I payed with debit, yes there was 25 cent charge, nobody likes that but it's not the end of the world no big deal. Pascal mentioned the poor weather today & rain. We discussed the weather & how rain was better then cold & snow while I used the debit machine. With one click of the ok button I by passed the tip option, again not a big deal a lot of counter serve places now a days have that on there debit. I completed my purchase & the girl working there who had come out from the back asked me if I would like a plastic bag for all my stuff, I said yes. She handed me my bag & Pascal told me to have a good day. Overall I found the whole experience to be very pleasant. Now for the product. Yes the bagels are smaller then you may be used to. It's no mystery every thing is bigger & fatter in North America. These are pretty standard size bagels in Europe & I personal prefer the smaller size for breakfast. Me & my girlfriend had a bagel each & split one of the cheese croissant covered hotdogs & one of the chocolate croissants. The bagels were warm & just the right texture. We didn't even toast them, we didn't wanna ruin that freshness. Just added some vegetable cream cheese & they were amazing. The two other croissants we split were equally as warm & fresh & delicious. I was definitely glad I made the trip to Pascals this morning. Overall. I have no problem writing a bad review. But this experience certainly does not warrant one. It's been awile since I have wrote a review & after seeing some of the negative comments. I felt it only right to write a review of my experience. I would hate to see people miss out over a couple poor reviews. I can only speak for myself, but customer service was friendly. The food was delicious. I have no complaints. As a new resident to the neighbourhood, Pascal you have made a new regular costumer. Me & my girlfriend will be returning again for our bagels. Read more
I've only ever bought bagels and coffee here, but the bagels are delicious...closest thing to Montreal style bagels in the area. 9:30 am they're hot, right out of the oven.
