For the Love of Cake - Toronto, Ontario

I moved to Liberty Village a few years ago, and I just discovered this place! (It’s a little hidden in the pathway). I have gotten their cupcakes a few times now, and they’ve always tasted so good! I love their buttercream cupcakes (frosting is a little too sweet for me but ... my girlfriend loves the frosting!!). My favourite is “hazelnut” and “salted caramel”, yum! They’re always so nice and moist. You should go early because they run out of flavours quickly. This month’s flavour was the “Dulce de Leche” which was so good! I just wished they had the regular sized one this time (they have fillings in the regular size). I will be ordering a custom cake soon! Can’t wait. Read more

I still have yet to try or order a cake but if you want to taste some of the delicious cake flavours I highly recommend grabbing some either mini or regular sized cupcakes! You have a great variety of different flavours and each one you taste so delicious! You can ... order online or walk in... If you want to have a good selection you have to walk in early! The cake I ordered was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. However, it arrived in a thick industrial brown box that smelled horrible - the kind of smell you don’t want anywhere near your cake. It was really difficult to take the cake out of the box and I had to ... cut open the side of the box which caused speckles of cardboard to fall on the cake. Because of the bad smell of the box my partner - whose birthday it was - lost all excitement about the cake. I will not be buying from this cake shop again. Read more

My family and I initially came across this bakery two years ago when we were searching for a specialty cake for my sister’s 16th birthday. After our first experience with that cake, we have been back ever since! They are incredibly knowledgeable and talented, and the attention to detail is ... spectacular. The cakes are always beautifully done, and are delicious! Great customer service and honest feedback are given about potential ideas and designs, in order to best accommodate your needs. The cake was AMAZING! It was soooo pretty and just as I wanted it, but what I didn't expect was for it to taste that good!! Usually fondant cakes look very good from the outside, but they don't taste that good. My husband loved it. This was a very pleasant ... exception.
