I’ve been a regular but infrequent customer for a few years now. The food selection is wonderful and we’ve enjoyed many meals from there with friends. 5 stars! If there is one issue, it’s the turnover of staff and their customer appreciation. It seems that the service staff ... are always chatting to each other or just one customer and not realizing there are customers waiting to pay. Today I just wanted to pay for my sandwich and it took 10 minutes all because of the chatting, it wasn’t too busy either. That’s why I can only give 3 stars. There is one gentleman, I think he is the owner but he says he isn’t, he always greets me and my wife with a smile and is very helpful with suggestions. I wish I could give this place 6 stars instead of 5 because of how amazing everything, and everyone is at this store! Smaller shop, BUT lots of options to choose from— take out food, pastries, sandwiches to go, drinks, cookies, ice cream, etc. I stood there for awhile trying ... to make up my mind until this younger lady Sara helped me. She was so sweet and helped me pick out the perfect dinner! Also decided to try out some tiramisu and I do not regret it lol! Daniel et Daniel catering was absolutely world class service from beginning to finish. Alice was excellent! Communication was great and she accommodated all my needs for making my one year old's birthday party a total hit. The food tasted absolutely delicious! D&D used to be such a great place, those days are gone. We ordered two fish dinners and soup for nearly $200 total. The salad was about half a tomato and half of unripened peach , no flavor no dressing. Fish portion was so unbelievably small I weighed it. Net ... weight was 125 gr per person , about 4 ounces or the weight of a single (1) chicken drumstick. It's grape topping was completely tasteless, how can you make grapes tasteless? D&D succeeded. A huge variety of pastries, baked goods, cakes, tarts! My absolute favourite is their apple tart! Great coffee! Food is made with excellent quality ingredients and reasonably priced. When I worked in the area it was my daily go-to shop! I always visit when I'm in the neighbourhood!
