Walked by this place a few times before so I finally decided to try it. Ordered the enchilada wrap which came with a wrap (of course), hummus, raw chili, a sauce of some kind and the server threw in some mango salad looking stuff too :) Wrap was huge, ... tasty and worth every penny. Raw food isn't the easiest to prepare and the wrap was very soft, combined with the filling it was all so tasty and definitely hit the spot :) Read more
3.5 stars I have spent $700 here in the past 2.5 months and have had everything on the takeout menu through JustEat at least 4 times each. First off, I've had brief interactions with the owner Claudia and don't consider her rude, just very brusque and into her business. This is what I've ... been looking for -- vegan, grain-free, organic, 80% raw, low protein, high carb (80-10-10) food, and I'm happy to have found a resto that supplies high quality food in a plentiful quantity that has a delivery service. The only complaints are: 1. Every dish has the same basic flavour because the same ingredients are used on repeat. They need to use fresh/dried herbs and spices to add healing properties, punch up the dishes and vary flavours. 2. What you see on the menu is not necessarily what you get. You may get the kale pesto in the lasagne, or you may get it full of cauliflower rice. You may get paté, avocado and sprouts in the wraps as described or you may get none of these (which is disappointing, because you probably chose it for these items, right?). The norita wrap had no umeboshi. The pizetta had no olives. Once I got a half tray of lasagne instead of a full one. Once the Pad Thai had proper spiced sauce on it, the other times it had bland white creamy sauce -- and, never has it had the green onions, coriander and mint as described. Sometimes you crave something specific and order a dish because it says it contains it. You can't do that here. If you don't mind that, then perfect! The containers are biodegradable and the cutlery is (usually) wood, with unbleached napkins which I also dig. The food is not greasy, it's always fresh and healthy. I'd give 5 stars if they made the dishes perfectly every time (ie- including what they say they will, adding appropriate seasonings, etc.). Hopefully this will come in 2018 because CC truly offers something unique with the potential of being fantastic. Read more
I really wanted to love Cruda Cafe as there's not enough raw vegan places in Toronto but they have to do better. I just bought a turmeric macaroon today and noticed it's green and moldy at the bottom! Unfortunately I took a bite and didn't realize this. I think ... I'm going to be sick. Read more
Delicious healthy food and drinks! Really friendly service with great recommendations. I went in on day one of a cold and the spicy enchilada wrap and ginger carrot drink helped clear me up!
I love the St Lawrance Green Market salad, it's so delicious. The service is great as well. The prices are a little bit high though.
