I used to be a regular here. And I mean every day. Normally breakfast, but sometimes lunch. It was amazing ! Lovely staff, beautiful selection of baked goods that tasted amazing and a wonderful selection of yummy hot food. Their BLT and grilled cheese were some of the ... best in the city.... But sadly no more. I don’t know what happened, (new ownership or new management)? But something changed almost overnight about a year ago and since then it’s just become mediocre. Over priced mediocrity, from the staff through to the BLT. I think I’ve been in once in a year. Sad. Read more
Best lunch I've ever had on the path. I got the soup and sandwich combo for $10 flat. The soup is fresh flavorful and delicous. The herb roast beef sandwich was saviour and perfectly built. And the sourdough that pair with my soup was hands down the best sour dough ... I've ever had! I'm looking for to eat there again! Read more
I buy sandwiches from Fresh Street regularly. One of the reasons the sandwich is so tasty is the fresh baked bread. My last purchase wasn't so great. The bread was definitely day old. I noticed the bakery was selling day old bread at 50% off. ... Maybe they thought the customer wouldn't notice. I did. 😡 Read more
Got a chocolate brioche at the end of the day. It was fresh and fluffy. There was only a thin tube of chocolate in the middle, but the quality was good. It was not too sweet--kind of in-between a Chinese bun and French pastry/bread in the shape ... of a muffin. It was just a bit pricey for such a small, simple brioche (about $2.50) when there were other options in the cafeteria. I look forward to trying their other products though! Read more

They do Cornish pasties! Not an easy thing to find in Toronto, and on top of that, it's one of the best I've ever had (and I include ones made in actual Cornwall in this). A bit dear at over $6 given the size - smaller than the real deal - ... but definitely worth it for a treat! The sausage rolls are okay, the sausage itself is lacking in spices so the whole thing is a touch on the bland side. Update: Have now tried the coronation chicken sandwich. I didn't love the choice of bread (thickly sliced, but the contents made the middle a little spongy) but it was good otherwise. Big and very filling! Read more
