I've been purchasing the patties for a decade now but the quality has gone down significantly and there's very little filling now, all you taste is the pastry. If you're going to raise the price from $13 to $20/box don't be stingy with the filling.

First time trying Allan’s, I got 2 dozen frozen patties. Although the pastry is delicious, I felt the ratio of filling to pastry is lacking. I wish there was a big more to balance out the dough. They take Cash only

Beef Patties cost 20 bucks a box now lol gzz, must be new ownership, box changed too. I guess inflation is staying for good. Lets see if the patties still taste the same.

Call in your order ahead of time. I usually like the “hot & ready” beef patties as I buy quite a bit. Went yesterday 01/27/2024 & grabbed 3 dozen of Spicy Beef (really not spicy to me lol) & 3 Dozen of Mild Beef. Was quick, in/out. Store looks the same ... as it’s always looked. Take-Out style, no seating, and couple of food products on display. Friendly people/staffs. Decent customer service. I prepared myself for the “cost/price” increase - Holy Moly $21/dozen (blame it on inflation?); well - so be it! Just a heads up: Cash only! Also, no take out bags for ya!! 😉. I read reviews that someone was upset w “how little filling was inside the beef patty & that it was only all pastry” so…had to try one when I got into the car (I would be upset too) 🤭 Mind u - it’s not my first time buying from Allen’s’ - to me - it’s the same! Same good flaky & buttery pastry & yes, on the initial bite - not so much filling! However, when I get to the middle bites, there’s just enough. Just as I remembered it. The price tho - oiy!! Definitely put a small dent in ma pockets but, my family enjoys patties from Allen’s. Until the next time I feel like a Jamaican Beef Patty & sharing w my fam…I’ll be back. My first visit to Allan's was solely to try their patties, and hands down, it was a hit! The flavors were so irresistible that the box didn't last more than 48 hours once it made its way home, and there are only two of us here. One thing to keep in ... mind is that they only accept cash, so be sure to walk in prepared. Despite the cash-only policy, the experience was well worth it. If you're a fan of delicious patties, Allan's is a must-try. I'll definitely be returning for more of their tasty treats! Read more
