This is my absolute favourite place in Toronto for great, cheap Asian food. I'm shocked by some of the other bad reviews. I come here all the time, and have never had anything but good service and food. Their make-your-own bowl is amazing and healthy - you can fill a ... bowl up with whatever vegetables you want, choose a protein (chicken, beef or tofu), choose a rice or noodle base, and then choose one of their many sauces. It's delicious, healthy and reasonably priced. I haven't tried anything else on their menu, but I absolutely love this item. If I could give no stars, I would. My partner and I went there, expecting the same kind of service as the one in Montreal. Oh boy we were wrong about that one. It took over 10 minutes for any staff to acknowledge our presence and to sit us. We ... order a Zangria but it tastes so watered down, it's insulting having to pay like $20 for a pitcher if there's barely alcohol in it. We were left alone for another 30 minutes, no one came to take our food orders, so at this point we just left, only to have an employee yelled at my partner. Well what do you expect us to do when we get no service? We were the ONLY people there aside the staff. So no 'it was very busy' excuse applicable here. I was really excited to try this noodle place as my fiancée and I used to walk by it everyday on our regular route and I'm a big noodles fan. We finally went in one day, got noodles, and it was a major letdown. Noodles were oddly cooked and ... textured, something was off with the broth, I had to douse it in Sriracha (which was all they had for hot sauce) and I still couldn't enjoy it. I've been here a few times before and the food was decent. This time it was not. Arrived around 8 pm. The waiter spoke little English and was hard to understand. I ordered the make your own stir fry. I went to the veggie bar to pick out my vegetables, there was ... almost nothing there. No celery, a few mushrooms, a few peppers, lots of BROWN broccoli and the sprouts looked even worse. So I picked a few veggies that looked the best. My friend ordered rice with his stir fry instead of noodles. The waiter came by after a few minutes to inform us they were out of rice. How can an Asian restaurant be out of rice? ? Why wouldn't they make more? The restaurant looks a bit rundown. The bathrooms are a bit gross with little ventilation and minimal light. Awful wait time, bad portions, incompetent staff. Came in at 12 for lunch, many open seats. Didn't get food until 1:15pm. We literally sat for an hour and fifteen minutes for 3 ramen. When the orders came, the bowl of "double protein" had only a few pieces of meat, and the rest ... of the orders had even less. The toppings were scarce, a few pieces of shredded onion and half a boiled egg (not even marinated egg, just plain boiled egg). No presentation whatsoever, and completely lacking in flavour. I have literally had better ramen at a mall restaurant in Yorkdale. Lastly the staff couldn't even remember what we ordered, despite there only being a few tables of people.
