Very disappointed. The texture of the ginger chicken was like it sat out all day under a heat lamp and was made 6 hours ago… the noodles also were dry and flavorless. The sweet and sour chicken was alright but overall too disappointing… also cold.. like half the dish on ... the right side was colder than the left. Wouldnt even say it was hot. Warm at most.. It isn't fancy pants modern fusion "elevated"Chinese, but it hits the spot hard for what it is. Hearty, yummy comfort food. It's honestly way above your average mega mall food court chinese food; the flavour is actually legit. More traditional food options too and not just like deep fried chicken balls. ... Good portions of food for their combos! Read more
Really great mom and pop shop selling westernized Chinese food in the St.Lawrence market (downstairs). The food is always good, well priced, and the man handling the cash is always super friendly and smiley. They only take debit and cash which is clearly indicated AND not unreasonable considering they are a ... small business, not a corporation. I would totally recommend this place! I always get the noodles, some sort of vegetable side, and a meat dish which is a good lunch for 2 people. Pork buns are also decent. Read more
Since 2001, Yip's Kitchen has provided authentic Chinese Fast Food in the lower St. Lawrence Market. Their menu consists of reliable standard dishes and can get busy during lunchtime with their low prices. Recommended making a pitstop if you ever need food to go! Their menu offers options from appetizers, soups, ... dim sum, fried rice, noodles, and some classic mains. They serve items from a hot bar that you can order in person with generous portion sizes! We picked up a Hot & Sour Soup (Large) and Sticky Rice (2pcs) which came to around $10 total. Their take on Hot & Sour Soup had carrots, broccoli, and mushroom. which was different but still delicious and more towards the sour side. The Sticky Rice was done quite well, a bit small in portion but still good for what you are paying. Also, you can buy their BBQ pork per half-pound minimum as well. For the lack of Chinese Food, specifically Dim Sum in this area, they provide a good alternative option and are worth the value! The staff is very quick to dish out your food in containers. The cashier is very friendly and chats with their customers and recognizes new or familiar faces. They prefer cash if you have it, but can accept local credit cards. Do note, it can get busy in St. Lawrence market so you might not be able to find tables to sit and eat at. Read more

I hate when I am hungry but throwing the food seems better option Crispy Chicken had barely any chicken in it and was soggy. Rice had too much oil and other chicken was okay nothing that I would return to. Paying $17+ with a coke for a meal like this was disappointing.
