First time visiting this restaurant. We ordered budaejigae and corn cheese. Both dishes were delicious with great flavour. The budaejigae was filled with many ingredients and had a good spicy level. Good selection of side dishes. Service is A++! Two aunties came to check in on us multiple times. The server refilled ... our side dishes twice without us asking. Service is prompt and friendly. Patio is clean and well spaced out. Read more
Not all dishes are equally good, they seemed to make standard dishes really well. They don't accept card for bill under 20$. Beef is good, ribs are little bit hard to chew. Their staff is really nice, quick, friendly and welcoming. I don't really recommend their hotpot, it's a lot + ... looks good, but the taste isn't that amazing (their fish felt like it wasn't seasoned). Read more
Love coming here because of their great hours - 24/7!! I know it sucks for the employees but amazing for customers needing dinner after their late night shifts. I‘ve went too many times so here are all the foods I’ve tried & the pictures I took of their servings( in ... order) - Boodae Stew (x3): delicious but could have more volume and servings. Menu states that it serves 3 but realistically (I’m a girl), it serves 2. - Sides (x2): they give us 6 sides that usually change biweekly and the portions depends on who serves them which kinda sucks. - Bibimbap: give us the sauce separately so you can control your own spiciness level. Dressings and veggies are heavy portion and delicious. - Bean Paste Soup: my second favourite soup here after the ‘Soon Tofu Soup’. Lots of veggies and tofu pieces are reasonably cut. - Spicy Rice Cake: spicier than other Korean Restaurants that serve this as a side. Portion is heavy, so you could probably share this with someone. - Soon Tofu Soup: also spicier than other restaurants. They should add the egg earlier next time because it wasn’t completely mixed into my soup. - Sides Read more
I must say that the place has gone down in the last 7 years. This joint was my VERY first place to try Korean and they didn't disappoint. Pyung Won was catering to students for their inexpensive food but it has gone up. Server can get annoyed if you ask ... for too much, but on the positive side the food is good. There are other Korean joints but this place worth to try. Read more
It’s always my go-to Korean restaurant near Finch station. Food quality here has never let me down. It’s fresh & tasty. Side dishes are housemade, fresh and refillable. The waitress is always friendly, welcoming and caring. Highly recommend this restaurant for a casual dinner out!
