Visited this family-run Japanese spot with a super cozy ambiance, featuring individual booths for a private dining experience. The server was incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations and even helping me swap a meat option for tempura yam in my sushi. While the vegetarian options aren’t extensive, if you’re a non-veg ... eater, this place is definitely worth a try. Read more
A cozy, cute sushi spot tucked away in a busy area on Yonge! (@twogetheronthego IG/Tiktok) Oyshi Sushi is in our neighborhood right on the waterfront - and after 2 years we finally made the visit! The sushi was absolutely fresh and delicious. You can really tell when sushi components are not - ... but this definitely was! We tried the spicy salmon roll and shrimp tempura, and it fed two of us nicely (2 rolls). The interior is really nice, it has the traditional booths that remind you of Eastern Asia. Also from a price standpoint point, it is very reasonable and I’d definitely return for some more. For 8 pieces (roll) you might pay around $10 depending on the roll. Remember, this isn’t your everyday “takeout” sushi. We spent under 25$! We were able to find a seat easily (although on peak times it will probably be difficult). The service was really nice and helpful. We have an allergy so they were very accommodating. Location is tucked between the condos on Yonge and Queens Quay. Entrance faces Harbourfront. it’s easiest if you are on foot. Will return! Read more
The sushi was amazing. Fast service and quaint atmosphere. Great hidden spot for an awesome affordable meal. Loved the dynamite roll and green salad!
Great small cozy Restaurant. The Restaurant 4/5: Really cozy but a bit too small. But the food makes up for the lack of space and tightness. Gives it a bit of a vintage Japanese restaurant feel. The Service 4/5: waitress was really friendly and nice. I did get charged for an extra ... pop but I didn’t mind too much. The Food 5/5: Amazing food. Rolls were over size but who complains about more food. Fish was really fresh, along with the salad and miso soup. Sushi pizza wasn’t deep fried so that was great. Tempura had perfect batter and seasoning. Overall 4/5: Would come back and definitely recommend. Read more
