I do not exaggerate when I say this food is terrible. Please stay away. Ordered spicy pork ramen, cost me $19 total for trash. Waited over 20 minutes with no other customers for what appeared to be instant noodles and a powdered broth. Noodles were some rice noodles, what appeared ... to be the instant aisha noodles from Costco, and the broth was as rich and flavourful as an 13th century peasant. Tasted like the free soup you get from a Chinese restaurant. Egg has zero marination, and the "char siu" was tough and dry. I would rather have a third of a packet of nissin instant noodles than eat this again. PLEASE STAY AWAY. However, the servers were nice! Read more
Easily the worst most uninspired sushi I have had anyway downtown Toronto. Check all my other reviews of Asian and Japanese restaurants. This is cheap, Chinese style TERRIBLE sushi. This place is pathetic. People are pretty nice and wait staff was great. Food?? 0/5. $14 for a “spider roll” ?!?! ... Are you kidding?! LOL. It’s laughable. Except even fast food takeout sushi from metro or longos is far better. EVEN THE WASABI had no flavour. Lol. It’s likely mixed with mashed plain peas or something. I didn’t try any of the bento boxes but from what I saw of the 6 tables around me, all of the meals looks super basic. Cheap portions. No fish. NO roe. Terrible. Read more
Convenient location in the PATH but food is more westernized than authentic Japanese. They are good knowing their PATH customers by having a pick up/take out counter and a reservation/non reservation line at lunch. The restaurant also has a nice setting with indoor and "outdoor" seating. Chirashidon was okay. Katsudon ... was salty. Pass on the ramen. Read more
One word - stuffed! I decided to get take out from Ninki Sushi today. I have visited the restaurant many times but only ordered takeout a few times. I decided to get Bento Box A which came with soup, salad, vegetable tempura (I asked only for ... yam tempura) dumplings and shrimp tempura. The box also came with your choice of teriyaki - I chose salmon. The food is fresh and the quantity is plenty - all for $16. You can’t go wrong in visiting Ninki when you are looking for fuel to get you through the day! Read more
I'm really disappointed in Ninki. The pictures of food looked great while passing on the Path, but in the end all I remember is service was terrible. Our server didn't bring us water as we asked, then we didn't see them for the rest of the meal until they brought ... the bill. We had to flag down another server to place our order. The ramen was ok, but honestly I forget as my experience has been totally overshadowed by the bad service - to make things worse I noticed afterwords I was charged for two drinks when I only had one. Ninki stole both my money and time. Do not recommend. Read more
