I wish I can give 0 star! We needed to enter the parking for Canlan sports! Our club is renting the rink. However, they close one of the entrance for convocation! This parking has nothing to do with convocation! If you did not block the other entrance, why did you ... block this one?!!! It is because the security staff does not have brain to do good coordination and planning, so they decided to do this at our cost! A Read more

Did my undergrad here.
As an institution, it's definitely one of the top universities in Canada. It had the 3rd largest kine program in the nation during my time, and the professors (for the most part) were amazing - enthusiastic, knowledgeable and caring. It has a great deal of variety when ... it comes to courses and you can pick and choose other topics outside your major that you like. I learnt Spanish for example. Facilities at your disposal are an envy to many other schools. Many places to study in, Scott and Stacie libraries, food chains to dine at Yorklanes or Quad, athletic facilities to exercise in like Tait which also has a swimming pool available (but also Toronto’s T&F Center by the Pioneer Village Station, or Canlan ice rinks if you're into those kind of sports).
And by far the most beautiful campus to spend your leisure time to stroll. I live not far; many days I bike or jog by just to be there again... it's one big park basically.
Regarding the elephant in the room, there might be a strike while you're studying there but aside from the picket lines, there is limited disruption affecting you. And they tend resolve rather quickly in the rare occasions they do happen.
It's a 5 star for me.
Thanks for the memories Read more

So, multiple things
Pretty decent campus,
A strike happens for undergraduate’s professors after every 3 years which might create a hurdle in your studies but it’s not that much of a big deal so nothing to worry about.
I am a part of School of continuing studies (SCS) so I am a post ... grad student and hence the building where we study is new and gives a look and feel of a corporate as compared to Uni but rest of the campus is good.
A lot of opportunities for part time work at York lanes mall and other outlets and cafes inside the university. Overall student population has decreased over time especially after COVID, so not so fun anymore like old times. The times have changed.
I work part time at campus and I did two post grad programs back to back. I am an international student.
