Quite affordable Chinese food with generous portions. They have special priced lunch and dinner. Friendly lady working the restaurant.
Had the $6.95 General George chicken lunch special on a Monday. Not too busy with the seating when I went (it's probably one of the smallest sit in restaurants in the area) but they seem to do an equal amount of takeout, which is good to see. They have put money ... into the style of the restaurant over the years so they are in it for the long haul too. For my meal the rice was freshly steamed and fluffy, the spring roll crispy outside but squishy inside, the soup was a fine example of hot and sour, and the chicken was decent and generous in portion but a little less sauce on it would have been better. The waitresses were efficient and the food came out soon enough too. So for $6.95 + taxes and tips, you get what you pay for which is a hot, filling old school Chinese restaurant sit down meal. And that's sometimes all that I need. Enjoy! Read more
Great food great value! We just moved into the area and after our first dinner I can say with certainty we will be regulars. It's not the fanciest place in town but the food is very good. Not at all heavy the way some places do Chinese.
Great Chinese food for great prices! Might look like a bit of a dive but the service is great and the food is very good.

Only select dishes I’ve tried are reaching the verge of average. The Har Gow (shrimp dumpling) is ok, as well as the roasted duck (still a little greasier than how I usually like my roasted duck). Other items I’ve tried are not worth ordering. The curry cuttlefish is too soft, ... loosing its original texture. The pepper with shrimp paste tastes like something I can make myself at home (and I’m a very low-level cook), and I’ve tasted better beef noodles from food trucks near my school than the beef noodles served in this restaurant. Service is also very nonchalant. I would come again if I’m craving Har Gow and this is the only place in the area that serves them, but other than that, I don’t think I have faith in trying other dishes from this establishment again.
