Kekou Gelato - Toronto, Ontario

I came here to have ice cream scoops, but currently, they only sell ice cream bars and pints. Both the Vietnamese coffee and Hong Kong milk tea were delicious.

We came to Moon Pasta for their ice cream because this store used to be called Kekou (known for Asian-flavoured gelatos). We were disappointed to find out they don't offer scoops of ice cream anymore... and you have to just do takeout. We got the HK style Milk ... Tea ice cream and Viet Coffee flavoured ice cream and took it home to eat. It was delicious hence the 4 stars... otherwise this experience felt like a waste of time. This store turned into Moon Pasta. Original review was for Kekou icecream which sold single scoops of ice cream and many flavors. Now, it is back to 2-3 in-stock flavors and sold in pint size only. Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! It was always enjoyable to be able to find durian-flavoured desserts, and this satisfied my craving proficiently. Their gelato is smoother than ice cream but also has a slight crunch for a textured mouthfeel.

Made a final stop (after dinner) dessert before ending the night. Grabbed a cup of Vietnamese caffee ice cream. The ice cream is smooth. One person behind the counter doing everything but don't let her fool you. She was very efficient and gave us a generous portion ... of the ice cream. Well done! Read more
