Spacious restaurant and good service. Menu is slightly different from the other locations, fewer dishes to choose from
The food is o.k. but the service is horrible... especially if you have kids younger than 18. The owner seems to have a disdain for kids. We've been to their older restaurant a few blocks west without incident in the past... but since they've been at the new fancier place ... we've been treated very poorly. I think specifically it's the owner(slimy dude with glasses and curly permed hair) that is offensive. I can only surmise that he wants only older patrons because he wants to turn it into some trendy, hipster place for adults to come get liquored up. Last time we were there with my in-laws, and had a party of 10 with 6 kids (from 3 to 14 yrs) and 4 adults. We were well behaved and each ordered a full entree. We had literally just finished eating (and even a few of our group went to the washroom) when we were asked to pay up and leave. The waiter who relayed the news from his boss, looked a little embarrassed. We dropped a lot of dough for 10 entrees and appetizers, the least they could do was let us stay and socialize and digest. The place wasn't "that" busy. We've never gone back. If you have kids, and you want a real authentic Korean(my wife is Korean) restaurant?... do yourself a huge favour, go to Korean Village(628 Bloor St W) or Korea House(666 Bloor St W)... both within walking distance. They love kids and they'll treat you with respect. Read more
Good place, nice ambient, the food is well served and not too expensive, but the bad part is that they don't have Wi-Fi.
This was my worst experience ever at a Korean restaurant. The cups were dirty and when we got new cups they were less dirty. They got 1 order wrong and the other was a write off. We got pork bone soup and the soup was hot but the meat was ... cold. When we finally got the bill, we got charged an extra beer which they corrected. Most of the wait staff doesn't speak English but they try. Very disappointed and will not go back. Read more
We have been eating at Ka Chi on Dundas and in Kensington for years and it's one of our favourite places. This location on Bloor offers more seating but the menu is slightly different. I always get the tofu kimchi stew on Dundas but that's missing from the menu on ... bloor (they do have another vegetable hot pot stew however) . Nevertheless there are many delicious things here whether you eat meat or not. I got the vegetarian Bibimbap ($13.95) and my partner got bulgogi chicken ($13.95 also) and they were delicious. The service is also excellent. Read more
