Big disappointment. The food is OK (not exceptional). Their prices have gone up about 20% and they didn't give me the 10% discount for paying cash on a pickup order over $40. Just looked at the new take out menu and it still mentions that offer. They are no longer worth the ... price you pay. Feels like they just got greedy. Won't go back. Read more
First they tried to charge me tax on the cash discount which is illegal. I tried explaining to the lady but she was trying to do it like she didn't get it or couldn't understand me. Then when I said don't worry about it cancel my order. She said oh ... sorry no problem and gave the proper credit. I picked up the food which was on time I might add. Unfortunately it has to be the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life and I have eaten Chinese food hundreds of times both in North America and in China. The chicken balls and lemon chicken were almost all breading. The breading was drenched in grease since the oil they use I can only assume is very old and or not hot enough when deep frying. The rest of the food was extremely poor quality and I literally ate some vomitted and threw the rest away. I will never order from them again. Good luck if you do! Read more
Its all about expectations - if you are expecting to get Chinese food here that you are expecting from Chinatown (Spadina), Chinatown East or Chinatown North (Markham) this is not really your jam....its a quaint space, family run (no not mine but I have lived in the Beach long enough ... to watch the girls grow up). The food is typical North American Chinese food (which I lovingly call "fake Chinese food" with my kids) that is quite good. Food is always hot and the portions are fair to generous. We typically order out from here about once a month and our orders are consistent :) Read more
Very Bad and costly. Each side dish is $13 plus and the food was not at all good or to the standard of good Chinese food. Ordered a apple juice for my daughter and got a simple juice box that you can purchase by the case of a dozen for ... under $5.00. The cost for a single juice box was $3.50!!!. The fried rice taste like smoke and the basic chicken was yellow and tasted very salty and full of doe. Service was also not great though it started out ok the pleasantries did not last as we shared our concerns. For this poor food and bad service we wasted over $70 dollars and left 90% of the food on the table as we could not eat it. I would not recommend this location to anyone seeking good Chinese food or service. Read more

Ordered delivery for our New Years day movies & chinese ritual. Food was all excellent! I'm a big fan of chicken balls and Honey Bee had some of the best I've ever tried. The rice and noodles were also exquisite! And can never go wrong with General Taos
