I bought Shanghai noodles for lunch recently and the food quality was poor. The noodles had zero taste or colour. I ask for hot sauce and soya sauce, thankfully I did. The cashier reluctantly gave me 1 packet of each sauce. Then I had to ask for more, then I ... was told there would be a charge. That meal desperately needed flavour. I used all 4 sauce packets and it barely made a difference. The piece de resistance was seeing a piece of metal in the box after eating those lack lustre noodles. Disgusting! I came here 3 days in a ROW in all three days i ORDERED the lunch special chilli chicken, the first 2 days i noticed there was no hot sauce in the bag so the third day i asked the lady to give me two bags of hot sauce. ... then when she gave me the change for my order i realized it was 50cents short. I gave her 20$ and she gave me back 6.50 instead of seven. So i asked her why she charged me 50 cents extra today and she said because i gave you hot sauce. That was something that was new to me because i am a long time customer at faleys just down the street and they always put 2 bags of hot sauce in the bag and even give you extra if you need. The only reason why i came to golden asian is to support them since everyone goes to faley down the street. The lady is not good for business if she's charging people for hot sauce packets I went back to faley ever since. Read more

The food is okay, I guess. We ordered lobster sauce rice and black bean beef with rice (lunch specials). The lobster rice tasted a bit like lobster, but it was too salty. The black bean beef had too much rice, felt like they should've put in maybe a few more ... pieces of meat or veggies in there. A bit of good will goes a long way in bringing customers back. We went in on Friday (10.06.23) and placed an order. When ordering I politely explained that I had a seafood allergy – specifically, shrimp, crab and lobster. And I asked that a fresh pan be used, because even the oil or any remnants will cause cross-contamination. The lady taking my ... order understood and went into the kitchen for a moment and returned. I assumed she was speaking to the cook. She took my money, and we waited a short time for the food to be made. I ended up being HOSPITALIZED for 10 HOURS, after I called 911 for immediate assistance. I literally couldn't breath and felt like I was dying. I am not being overly dramatic. Unless you know, you don't know. This is a WORD OF WARNING. very nice place with good prices and quality food. they have been around for a long time and i usually get a family meal. they also have lunch specials under 12 and a good amount of food cooked fresh to order. its a good place to go in rexdale.
