I came here with a couple friends and we all agreed that we wouldn't come back. The restaurant is spacious enough that you could come with various group sizes and not find it to be an issue. However that is it's only redeeming quality as we found the service to ... be terrible and the bubble tea that we ordered to be sub par. Also note that if you don't order anything, you can expect to be charged a sitting fee... We stood waiting to be seated for over 5 minutes even though we could clearly see workers hovering/huddling around the bar/cash area chatting. Only when I walked into the main area and flagged them down did they come over. When it came to our orders, they were okay the first time around but no one ever came to follow-up/clean up, and we had a similar struggle of getting our bill, as we did trying to be seated. The drinks themselves tasted of cheap syrup and watered down tea and we were thoroughly disappointed knowing that there were other, better bubble tea options we didn't go to. It was the first time I could ever recall going to Go for Tea and I don't plan on going back. Read more
The place has no AC air conditioning! I have had better experiences in the past. The quality of the tea and the ambience of the restaurant has decreased dramatically! When our tea arrived, the flavouring was almost non existent, the tea was very overpowering and it was extremely bitter. When asked about ... it, without even finishing my sentence, the mug was quickly taken away and more flavouring was placed into it. Better, but by then the drink was ruined with all the melted ice. The place has no AC. It was so hot in there, and when I asked the manager, he acted like it was like that all the time. The servers and employees were fanning themselves with plastic plates. I hope this gets heard, because summer is upon us. Not impressed. Read more
My experience here was more of a 3.5 than a 4 but there are no .5 reviews so. Overall, it was an alright experience. Drinks were good, price was alright, the food was good however my table thought that they used a lot of unnecessary onions to cover up the ... small amount of food on the plate. The service was also alright. They didnt do anything terrible but it was hard to get service. We only got one glass of water but the cups stayed on our table the whole time we were there, even when we purposely stacked them and put it to the side for them to take. Eventually, i filled up on the the large drink rather than the food. Read more
I've been here twice now and each time I have received excellent service. The staff are kind and always there when you need them. I really like this place for drinks as they have a wide variety to choose from such as healthy drinks, hot/cold teas, bubble tea, dessert drinks etc. ... In particular, I really enjoy their cold green teas and flower tea. The honey that comes with this tea tastes like flower honey to me. The portions for the drinks are incredibly generous. You could literally get full off of drinks alone. Cakes and desserts are limited to a very small selection. I feel that the cakes and pastries are a tad overpriced for the small portion. As for their main courses, they have those available as well. My fiance ordered chicken fried rice and sirloin with onions. To be frank, he didn't hate it, but he didn't love it either... The atmosphere is calm and casual with popular music playing softly in the background. In conclusion, I think this is an excellent place for those on a budget who are looking for good drinks and a place to hangout with friends. While I wouldn't recommend this place for dinner, I would definitely recommend it for the delicious drinks. Read more
Located by Cineplex Markham VIP area, this restaurant is usually good if you want some food, desserts and bbt. When i went outside, I was standing for about 10 mins because there were no host/hostess present. There were barely any servers around for me to ask for assistance as well. I ... saw a couple walk right in but I wanted to respect the sign which said "Please wait to be seated". It was not until I finally saw a server that we got seated inside. They offer a huge selection of drinks, teas, desserts, snack bites and main courses. Their menu also offers a set menu where if you came during certain times, it'll be a bite cheaper. Overall wait time for our food was around 10 mins for most, depending on what meat needed to be cooked. We ordered: - Popcorn Chicken snack size ($9.49): Was very good as the chicken was flavorful (from the spices used), soft yet crispy and very juicy on the inside. The spicy mayo which came with it complimented the chicken well. Overall great dish! - Grilled Salmon w/ rice ($13.99): The salmon was a nice size, and wasn't too dry. Majority of the piece had no bones, except maybe a few small ones which was fine. It came with some vegetables that made it a great clean dish to eat if you don't want anything fried. - Taro and Cocoa Black MT (size regular $5.49): Both tasted okay and wasn't too sweet, however, you are really just paying for powder. The size was decently big as I barely could finish it. - Matcha & Red Bean Shaved Ice ($12.49): Despite the size being very big, it honestly tasted pretty bland. I could taste the red bean, but the matcha? Not really. I definitely wouldn't order this again. Read more
