If you are looking for an affordable and fulfilling meal, then this is your place. Their shawarma is huge and it will keep full the entire day. Their special mango sauce is 🤌🏻 Whenever I am too tired to cook, I simply get their shawarma which I split in two ... halves. It’s so damn good everytime. True hidden gem. Behind the hasty market, lies a bumping shawarma restaurant that is making super authentic Saj bread on a large hot stone. This isn’t your typical shawarma with pita bread. This is thin but chewy, then placed into the press to get crispy. Truly the best vessel to hold ... all the toppings. Only 2 options for shawarma, chicken or falafel. I went with chicken, and got everything on it, with hot sauce, garlic sauce, and tahini. No hummus option. They slice it into 2 and wrap them individually, because they know how large they are and how likely it will be that you save half for lunch tomorrow. The first time I tried widely raved about Flaming Stove I went with the chicken shawarma wrap which was good - but after having their falafel today it is THE. MOVE. So delicious with the added grilled veggies. They’ve got a great selection of prepared bowls and salads, and the hasty ... market they’re in offers a cool assortment of novelty sodas. I live downtown and I dont drive and I will schlepp it on the TTC to eat this at least twice a month. "Best" is subjective but I believe this would be in enthusiast's top 10. Very well executed shawarma.
