This is a restaurant for mainly local westerners! Chop suey good style! Good value and tastes actually not bad!
This tiny, cozy, modest decorated Hakka Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem. It is not very visible, although being very close to the busy intersection. But, its foods are delicious and have decent portion size. Their price is also very reasonable. This family owned establishment has been catering customers for ... more than 20 years. Their chili chicken, Thai Soup, and Chicken Pakora are a few of the dishes in the menu that are worth trying. Read more
Undoubtedly the best Thai soup in GTA. The soup itself is so refreshing and so flavourful that it will bring back all the memories of childhood. It’s a remedy for runny nose or cold. I have no words to describe their Thai Soup. Their chili chicken is also famous but I ... tried their Beef Chowmein which was toothsome but a bit oily. Don’t expect good service there as the seating arrangement and service are below average. Price is very reasonable as the portion size is also big but service charge will be added with the bill for dine in. It’s a must try halal chinese restaurant at least for the Thai Soup. Read more
One of my all time favourite spots for chili chicken. Chung Moi is a family owned restaurant with a small cozy interior. I notice there’s regulars that come often as the owners (who are there most of the time when I visit), seem to recognize them. Their menu has a variety ... of dishes to choose from, but I mainly only tried their chili chicken. There are 2 options to choose from - with gravy or dry. Both versions are amazing, it’s just dependent if you’re looking for more sauce. Personally I prefer the dry because usually sauce would make the chicken not as crispy, so the dry version tends to be crispier. There is a kick (even with mild spiciness), so be prepared if you’re not good with spicy food. Also be mindful the chili chicken doesn’t come with rice, so you’ll have to order it separately. If they were closer to me, I’d be coming very often ;) IG: Ayeween Read more
This is how hakkah food used to taste back in the days! My go to dish here is the ginger beef. A bit more expensive than the other Hakka spots in the area but not by much and the food is better than those places.
