Reviews for McSorley’s Wonderful Saloon and Grill in Toronto, Ontario
This is a wonderful neighbourhood pub. Decent food, really good value, and caters to pretty much everyone, including families. Every neighbourhood needs a place like this. If the beer selection had more local craft brews instead of interchangeable indistinguishable lagers, it would be even better.
Fun and high energy sport bar! Free peanuts and welcoming workers. The grilled were normal and maybe I didn't like it only because I'm a fried wings fans.
McSorley's is OK if you go in person. Which is sad because they're food is great. But if you order be aware they're service is not great. McSorley's is usually a last resort if another pub in the area isn't available. They never follow the order instructions and they're ... often missing the sides that come with dishes. Tonight we ordered pepperoni pizza, fish and chips, and mozzarella sticks. The tartar sauce was missing from the fish and chips. The ranch dip was missing from the mozzarella sticks which my husband always looks forward to. I'm not sure why things are always missing with our orders. Once or twice is fine. But this is happening quite often now. Their in house customers seem to be more important than those that order even though we all pay. Read more
We dined here for the first time and were impressed by their cozy atmosphere. I ordered the Cobb salad with chicken, and my partner ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich. Their chicken (from the Cobb salad) was tender and juicy, which I immensely loved. The salad portion was also very satisfying. My partner also ... loved the chicken schnitzel sandwich, which was a huge portion and a great deal. And the most important thing is, which was so delicious! The servers there were amiable and chatty (-in a good way), and we felt relaxed and at ease the whole time. Highly recommend everyone to come here. The atmosphere, food and service of the whole bar are great! Read more
Came here for brunch on the festival day. Open patio makes for a fresh and inviting ambiance. Price was reasonable given the quality of food. The pancakes tasted generic out of the box. The brunch egg plate was ok, I didn’t like the sausages and the ... home fries felt like out of the bag McCain. Service and atmosphere while good, don’t quite make up for the lack of quality of food.
