Both my husband and I went there for lunch and ordered from their lunch special menu. My husband's grilled meat was absolutely dry to the point where I had to share the sauce that came with my plate, with him. There was a lot of rice and three small pieces ... of tilapia on mine. Kiza is AMAZING. We hadn't tried any African food before and were so excited to find a deal on Travelzoo to try this place. They have traditional dishes from across Africa and it was fun to try a bunch of them. The portions are big - I had some to ... take home as well. The waitresses were the friendliest waitresses I've met in a long time, and it was such a nice place. Service was okay, but very slow. It wasn't really busy, but our entire dinner took 2.5 hours as we had to wait for everything. They said there was a computer glitch so they didn't get our appetizer order but managed to get our main course orders, so we had to ... reorder. Food was okay, but we found the meat on the tough and dry side. We really liked their pepper soup, but most people will find it spicy. Worth a try, and remember to schedule more time. Read more

Great food and fantastic portions. Chef really knows his meats, goat and oxtail were both very tender and it's easy to get those two meats very wrong. Spice level was fantastic and we really enjoyed this place. Only downside is that service did take 1h15m to get, well, anything. ... Our main dishes followed appetizers soon thereafter, but still, initial wait was longer than expected. We didn't mind, were in no rush, and the food more than made up for it but it's something to keep in mind. Wine is served quite liberally, which helps with the wait. Read more

African food is excellent - especially the suya and the chicken wings. I visited there twice already. Space is much larger than the outside projects. Very airy, clean, and chic. Excellent customer service. A great place to hold events like showers, birthday parties, small production fashion shows.
