Timbers Restaurant - Thunder Bay, Ontario

Our server John was great, the wings were excellent, the pizza was huge, my wife had the long island ice tea and said they were perfect, their Skal Lager is a nice amber beer made locally just for them and is refreshing, give it a try.

I would really like to give this place 5 stars, but 4 is the highest I’m able to rate due to the sense of being forgotten as a customer with a slow clientele night. After being seated and skimming through the menu I made my decision on the ginger beef bowl. It ... had taken about 10 minutes for someone to come and retrieve my order, which isn’t a long time by waitressing standards; not that I was ever a waiter, but during a slower night I felt forgotten about. Don’t let me paint the picture that the waitress wasn’t a wonderful bubbly woman, because she was and quite the social butterfly. She was a very nice woman and The presentation of the facility was welcoming, however; sitting in a very dimly lit room to eat skewered the welcoming feeling, but it did create an inviting atmosphere. I had sampled their skull amber beer which is brewed locally and has a smooth flavor. I obviously ordered the drink after the sample. The taste is hoppy and sits on the pallet for a lasting impression, and trails down the throat with a milder flavor. On to the main course. The ginger beef bowl presented immaculately and taste just as good as it showcased. I would eat here again and recommend this place. This concludes my review. Read more

Timbers Brunch Buffet on Thanksgiving Day. Great food, Great service, and one of very few places open on Holidays. Had 3 plates and a dessert plate. Then went home and Napped. :) needless to say it was great and highly recommend. :) Happy Thanksgiving.

My waitress Jenna was genuinely nice and attentive. Had a salad and brownie for dessert #balance

Ate at Timbers twice. Continental breakfast was O.K. but the dinner was extremely disappointing. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu (Ribeye steak, medium rare) and it arrived very dry and we'll done. Waitress didn't bat an eye to my comment of it being overcooked, promptly offered A1 ... to mask the dryness. Bleh. So much for a nice dinner. Will eat elsewhere next time. Read more
