Authentic INDIAN served here. Take this from a person who couldn’t find the taste of India in the entire GTA. We ordered Amritsari fish, butter chicken and dal makhni with chicken biryani and butter roti. The bill came to be around 150 CAD but the food made it worth a ... spend. The amritsari fish was crispy and delicious, no thick batter,and with an approved green chutney and not some green goob you get at regular Indian restaurants. Dal was amazing and rich. We asked for Indian spice level and we were served exactly that. The butter chicken was melt in the mouth but the quantity was a bit questionable. Our group of 5 found the service to be outstanding from the minute we arrived. The atmosphere is equally far far above average. It's roomy, comfortable & gorgeous. Our meals got to the table quickly & each one was correct. The food itself was not only delectable, it was a ... beautiful treat for the eyes. I found the "heat" levels of the 2 dishes I tried to be fairly mild to moderately spicy as described in the menu. To top off the evening they made our birthday girl's dessert extra special. The food was perfectly splendid. I highly recommend the Malai Kofta, the taste is out of this world.

The food was delicious but half of it came out really cold. We were so hungry after waiting an hour after the order. The service was terrible and we were really upset cos we waited for our food for about an hour and then we complained to another waiter then ... the food was brought out then the second waiter told us that our first waiter had to go break his fast but that our original waiter didn't communicate properly to the other staff hence why the food came out late. There was one verbal apology offered but the 4 of us were not pleased. We know we won't be back. It's a beautiful place. I'd recommend to people but I'd ask people to first nibble on something from home before going there incase you end up getting the waiter we got. Read more

Service was excellent, prompt and very responsive and staff very pleasant. The food was outstanding with very generous portions. We had chai masala tea, samosas chaat, butter chicken served with garlic naan and fragrant rice, raita, baigan (eggplant with coconut and curry leaves). Definitely gets my vote for #1 ... Indian cuisine in Thunder Bay. We’ll be back and will spread the word! Read more
