Crystal Beach Restaurant - Thunder Bay, Ontario

I recently moved near the restaurant and wanted to try it. The wait staff was really friendly and the food was good. There were a few minor things I would have wanted differently (which is why mine is 4 stars). I asked for no tomato and it came with a slice ... of tomato, also I would have asked for no mustard and onion but those ingredients weren't listed in the description of the Bacon Cheeseburger (katchup also wasn't listed).Also the fries didn't have a lot of colour or much crisp even tho they were cooked well, also they tasted like frozen fries. Food is delicious here. My only problem was my server was wearing a clear plastic face cover. Every time she came to the table she was chewing her gum popping it like a teenager. I found it repulsive. I do not want to see what your chewing when i am ... trying to eat. Otherwise everything else was great. Read more

We are travellers from Ontario and we were on our way back home from visiting BC, Jasper, Banff, Kananaski, Calgary, Drumheller and Winnipeg! We were starving and thought we would stop in and order take out and the waitress was very rude yelled and said they were all booked up! ... Anyways we ended up having scrambled eggs and toast in our RV and it was delicious! Read more

Delicious food and great service! We particularly enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup and California sandwich. The view was also great! It was beautiful to eat outdoors next to Lake Superior. There are also a few other shops nearby so it’s a very conviennent place to stop.

After a casual Sunday drive we stopped here for a mid-afternoon meal. Very friendly service, great menu options (house made everything) and an awesome patio view of Lake Superior. Topped off an already amazing day. U will be back. Well worth the drive out from the ... city :) Read more
