Amalfi Coast - Thornhill, Ontario

Great service and food was good. Got there just before the rush of service. Pie on the pizza a great. Pasta is done al dente. Our server was personable and actual has a mini conversation rather than just bringing you food. Risotto was creamy and full of flavour, added a ... skewer of grilled shrimp that paired perfectly. I like the tiramisu but I personally could have done without the fruits on top. Overall great spot for Italian food in the area. Read more

If you are looking for a good quality food, prepared fresh, with high attention to detail, and without breaking the bank, then this is the place for you. This the best restaurant in the area in terms of food, service and quality that I know of. The atmosphere is very ... inviting and intimate; you can easily take your date here or come with a family. I thoroughly enjoyed their Parmesan mushroom appetizer and the rack of lamb, which was cooked to perfection. They seem to always run promotions and offer daily specials, which is great if you want to try different things. We had their special tomato soup (delish) and the lamb ragu pasta (yum). What a beautiful restaurant and a flavourful menu! They really don't hold back on service and they are very attentive to every table that's there! We enjoyed every dish we ordered and the wine line was great as well. Our waiter was so great with his knowledge of the menu ... and the wines to pair with them! What a great gem in Thornhill! Delicious authentic Italian food from start to finish. The restaurant is spacious with a modern decor, and there is a private room at the back which is great for parties and events For our visit, we had: Caprese - The bocconcini di bufala was amazing, as ... was the vine riped tomatoes Carpaccio Di Manzo - great starter as well. My companion doesn't usually eat anything raw but she liked this! Bosco Pizza (mozzarella, pancetta, cremini mushrooms, truffle oil and parsley) - simply delicious and I loved the fact that it's densely packed with toppings. The crust on the pizza was amazing! Pappardelle alla Boscaiola (egg noodles with wild mushrooms and lamb ragu) - great meat sauce on this one, and the pasta was cooked perfectly Scialateilli allo stile Amalfitana - a nice seafood pasta with a pasta that is unique to the Amalfi coast (nice chew and thickness to it!) Gnocchi Verde - Spinach based gnocchi with gongozola cream and pistacchio. Absolutely deliciocus! I would say this is a must get! Scottadito alla romana - Lamb chops that are presented nicely on a wooden board, with rapini, potatoes and fried onions. Great portion size on this one! All the pasta and pizzas are made fresh in-house and I could really taste the difference. Service was friendly thoroughtout the night and at a pace that we didn't feel rushed. Waiters are overwhelmed, forgetting to offer parmesan and pepper. Had to grab water on my own. Food is decent and nicely presented.
