Hot Taste Restaurant - Thornhill, Ontario

Good quantity and tasty food. We were a group of 8 people and we paid less than $100. Update: Looks like tipping is a must and will be asked to tip even if you don't want to.

Everything tasted good, but the sauce is not really my cup of tea. I wish they can separate the sauce/soup from the noodle dishes when preparing take out, so the noodle won't taste soggy. However, this restaurant is quite popular and has been in business for years.

Eggplant skin was very tough and inedible. The flavour was good but the eggplants were probably old. The hot pot thing was quite boring. Only one type of vegetable inside it was some sort of zucchini or cucumber and only a few types of meat which is omasum, beef brisket, ... ox tail, and literally one piece of tendon. Overall pretty good restaurant. Food were delicious (can be more spicy). Server service was so so. Food size portion not too big, price rate was on par. Overall 3 stars!!

Passed by looking for something open late. Alot of great options, our food selection was pretty good. Large portion sizes. The server was friendly but didn't speak much English, but we were able to order and get everything we needed without much complication. Place is pretty nice. Pricing is pretty ... standard in comparison to other Chinese spots in the area. Read more
