Thorndale Family Restaurant - Thorndale, Ontario

This place had the best burgers around. If you ever find yourself in Thorndale it's a must. The service was great but I can't say enough about that burger though. Wow it was good.

Stopped in for lunch during a road trip. Super friendly service. Good homemade food. Was offered baklava for dessert and couldn't say no.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. Staff was very friendly and efficient. My wife ordered the special of the day chicken noodle soup. I ordered the soup and toasted sandwich combo special. Our soups were just warm (not hot) and neither of us noticed any chicken but lots ... of noodles. Mild flavour. The toast on my sandwich was cool and not fresh so I assume it was pre-made and came out of a cooler. We both had a coffee. Meal price was okay at $29.00 before taxes or tip. But not a great meal, too bad, not likely to return. PS it was not busy. To the Owner, Thanks for feedback and clarification. Hopefully my comments are taken as an opportunity for small improvements like maybe having a heat lamp setup and a thermometer in the soup pot. All the best in the future. Read more

Was driving through town for work. So glad I stopped. Atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, service is kind and efficient, food is delicious. It was the most perfect nostalgic comfort meal between meetings. Highly recommend the ride pudding.

This was my first time coming here. Was doing some work in town at the community centre. So we stopped in for lunch; I had the chicken strips and fries with the salad and a coworker of mine had the steak with veggies, mashed potatoes. Food was amazing and the service ... was fantastic. I love going to small towns like this, - ma & pop restaurants, and still seeing restaurants operating like this. I wish there was more around, for a small town prices are reasonable and amount of food you get is very good. The food was so fresh. I told George; the owner that I’d be coming back with my wife next time, and we’ll be trying something different. I know we’ll definitely have to try out the breakfast sometime soon. This is definitely a 5 plus star restaurant. You see some people write one star reviews on here they’re the people that just don’t know what a good restaurant is because there is nothing wrong with this place people do make mistakes.
