Mr. Prime Rib - Sudbury, Ontario

Steak was melting it really perfect and the pasta was creamy I would recommend this restaurant over the keg and mountains They need to develop the atmosphere the vibes

Had a wonderful experience dining at Mr Prime Rib! The food was excellent and ready shockingly fast. I don't think it took more than five minutes from placing my order for it to be brought out. My server (Julie) was great and checked in on me frequently. I ordered the Prime ... Rib (medium rare) & Pasta, which was delicious and perfectly cooked. If I had to leave a note, the pasta sauce was a little on the salty side but not overbearingly so. To finish off I got the Raspberry cheesecake, which was absolutely perfect! From texture to sweetness level I have no notes except keep making it! Overall 10/10 will definitely eat there again and will recommend to anyone looking for a intimate date night with some of the best food in town. Read more

Service was excellent, very warm and inviting atmosphere, never felt rushed, waitress was very attentive. However, I was not impressed with a few things. Eating out at a restaurant is very pricey these days, no matter where you go, from a fast food joint to a 5 star steakhouse, it ... doesn't matter. We ordered escargot for an app, and it didn't come with any bread, which I found odd, especially for 16$. It was sad we had nothing to dip into all the extra garlic butter floating in the wells of the dish. If i'm paying 40+ dollars for prime rib, I do have expectations. I found the prime rib was SWIMMING in demi glace. I couldn't even see it under so much gravy. It also lacked seasoning. It was tender however. The fact that the horseradish came in a plastic container really cheapened the meal. The butter as well came in those little plastic containers. I think there could be a much more classy way to serve condiments. I ordered sweet potato fries, which were good, however, I had the suspicion that these are not made in house, and come frozen. The dessert was wonderful, but again, not made in house. (I asked). I think that is something that is happening more and more these days - restaurants bringing in desserts and not making them in house. Very good meal, waitress was very sweet. They could accommodate gluten free. But didn't have any specifically gluten free products. Ie dessert. Etc. Fast, friendly and delicious. I had the filtet mignon with mushrooms and my husband had the house prime rib.
