I had the lamb dansak and it was delicious! The lamb melted in my mouth and the pineapple was so sweet, which nicely complimented the spice of the curry! An excellent choice to celebrate my birthday. I haven't posted a restaurant lately, but that is until I came to Raja in Stratford. (ontario) We were told of this quaint little restaurant by or friends ( The Browns) a couple of years ago. We finally stopped in for an early dinner on a beautiful Saturday and were told to ... pick any seat on the patio. It was busy! We were able to find a seat for 2, no problem, and the service was fantastic. I took the chicken madras, which was spicy, and my wife had the jumbo prawn Tikka Masala. Both dishes were out of this world!! We then asked this kind gentlemen who worked there if I could get my curry sauce a bit a bit spicier? He took my dish and said no problem and came back with drinks, and my madras spiced to my liking! This is crazy!! I have not had service at a restaurant like this in years. AMAZING! He said many call him "Guru" in the industry, and he runs and mentors other similar restaurants of which we know of. Really good food, great atmosphere and our server was absolutely wonderful! My wife and I went for a date night for my birthday and enjoyed free papadums, I had a lamb Rogan Josh, my wife had chicken Passanda. We had plain rice, I had peshwari naan, she had garlic naan. ... It was delicious. I had a glass of their house red wine too. We have had takeaway here before which is good. Done in was next level! In one month we have been to Raja three times. The food in Raja , ambience, service everything is excellent in this restaurant. The quality of food is awesome and the price is very balanced when compared to the quality and the quantity of the dishes. The atmosphere is very ... good, the place is neat and clean and tidy. The lady who serves there her name is Aishna. She always greets her customers with a smile. She listens to what her customers orders, recommends dishes and even tries to understand and fulfil the expectations of the customers. She is very energetic and hard working lady with a very sweet smile and a kind attitude. All kinds of indian dishes are available here and the food is exceptionally tasty.
