Revival House - Stratford, Ontario

We came for cocktails and was immediately impressed by the decor and hostess service was excellent 👌 but the bartender was unprofessional, he started by telling the lady beside us that he wouldn't carry mint at the bar because he hates making mojitos. He spilled my drink when serving and ... kept putting the paper chits in his mouth. For such a beautiful well crafted restaurant it was disappointing to have a bartender such as this. Read more

Great food and a lovely location. Lunch was the flatbread poached pear with brie. It was amazing and light on a hot day. An added plus is that they are also dog friendly on the patio. Would highly recommend if you are ever in Stratford.

We went to Revival House for our Anniversary Lunch and we were very impressed with the overall atmosphere of the place. The baked Brie was my favorite.

Lovely place to enjoy a meal before or after a play. Beautiful renovated church, and the decorations and ambience are worth the visit. Close to downtown.

We got married at Revival House, and it was the venue of our dreams. The food was excellent, the venue itself was perfect (we got SO many compliments on the venue, both the vision and food), and the staff was so flexible and flawless. There are so many nice nooks ... and corners that make the wedding come off like magic. We had a lot of random asks and nitpicks and they made them all happen. Also, this place was incredibly affordable compared to a lot of other venues we were looking at, especially for our smaller wedding with 80 folks. They were also incredibly flexible and didn't charge us extra to deal with special asks, like the vegetarian and vegan options and the gluten free options and the kids meals for the little ones, including ensuring they had smarties for the cocktail hour and sundaes for dessert. For a couple like us who doesn't drink and don't have a lot of friends who do, the open bar situation was also a huge relief - we were charged a very reasonable price per drink, no extras and no surcharges, and had a couple of fail safes and stops in place. We came in at about half our budget with plenty of warning. Would recommend working with Aly from Maeck Weddings to smooth the way for a magical day here - She knows all the nooks and crannies of the place and can problem solve like a champ here.
