Le Petite Cafe - Stonewall, Manitoba

I was there for 3 days , the room was very clean and the staff were amazing and so accommodating to the fact I brought my puppy . The food in the cafe was very good and the lemon meringue pie was insane ! I’ll definitely be back . Do not go here!!! This place is horrible!! The food will get you sick. The staff are extremely rude to boot. The food could be described as "Worse than the quality of a hospital cafeteria". Last Saturday we went for dinner our server Megan the older one with the black hair was ... extremely rude and unprofessional. We even over heard her gosiping to a co-worker all the while our food sat getting cold in the window. The food was underwhelming to say the least it was cold, very small portions especially for the outrageous price the mashed potatoes where salty the veggies where crunchy and one person at the table almost choked on a bone in her turkey sandwadge. We all felt sick after especially the one who had the burger she is still sick almost a week later. We also spoted one guy through the kitchen window super loud and obnoxious, he looked very dirty and unkept. As we left we noticed the smell of raw sewage in the foyer GROSS. This place is like a ghost town i know Red FLAG, they seem to have no business at all. This place used to be hopping before the new owners took over a few years ago. Lots of staff but no customers? I can see why no one goes there the staff where dressed in grubby old t shirts and look like they hate their jobs.. That is just a bad reflection on the business to have a unwelcoming staff it just drives business away. We will not be back and we will be sure to tell everyone we know to save your money this place isn't worth the health risk. Read more

First off Stonewall itself is absolutely adorable and has so many amenities. Second off, this place is really great. I travel to the area regularly and stay here when I do. It's quiet, clean, and comfortable. So far I've only stayed in the same room each time but the bathtub is ... brand new and enormous. It's a dream come true after an incredibly long drive. I also love that there's a restaurant (food is great and they assist with my food allergies) and bar, vending machine, ATM, and welcoming staff. Check in is easy and smooth. It's all around a great place. I'm about to go back and I am looking forward to spending my time there. The only thing I don't like, which is definitely no fault of theirs, is my cell phone has the worst signal for data and wifi. And I only mention it because I do have friends that travel and need 100% solid data signal or wifi and I know they would leave negative reviews for places that don't have it. Read more

Ordered a medium steak. It came well done. Told the server, she said she'd tell the cook. When paying the server just said...oh he said he's sorry. Pfffffff

Le Petite Cafe: Our visit to Le Petite Cafe was great. Our server was personable, kind, and efficient. She mentioned the specials and gave good recommendations. The food tasted amazing, a great size steak for a good price. I asked for rare, and it was cooked perfectly. There are not ... many places you could go to get a $20.00 steak at such great quality. The portion sizes were large too, soup or salad, vegetable and choice of potato are included. Overall, a great little place to stop for dinner in Stonewall. Read more
