Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill - St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador

Been a regular customer for decades, there is something seriously wrong with temp control . Always too cold there. I should not have to keep my coat on while dining . Room temp there today(7,7,24) was 62*F or about 17C. Unsatisfactory!! I fully understand it's nice for ... the staff , but the staff don't pay the bills . Last two times dining there fries have changed , too soggy. Will be considering other places where I can dine comfortably. Read more

Went to enjoy a nice meal before do8ng some shopping. Hours say it's open but doors were locked. Guess I'll eat elsewhere since apparently swiss chalet doesn't want my money.

Garbage service, horrible cold food, looks like dog food. Not what I wanted . The ceasar salad didnt even have bacon on it. Everything was disappointing.

Ordered a full sized chicken poutine but got a side of fries with chicken and marble cheese on top. No gravy. I’ll never be getting food here again.

This is over two occurrences. Meal one: wings as appetizer were delicious. Chicken and ribs - ribs tasted warm at best, flavour mediocre. Great server. Second meal: "festive beef" was only beef... the beef was juicy and had a nice peppercorn bite to it. The mashed potato was warm ... to cool and definitely had the pasty boxed potato flavour. Vegetables appeared dry and had minimal flavor. Gravy was tasty. Service was confusing/ fair as the servers were shifting on the fly. Server took order incorrectly and kinda questioned it being my fault. No names given by either server. Overall: average run of the mill chain restaurant. Read more
