Quiznos - St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador

Great food but the service wasn't what it usually is. I was there about a week ago. The ladies tried their best and they were friendly but it was slow going. Maybe it was an off day. I'll visit again though!

Subs were skimpy on the meat and other ingredients. This place seems to be open whenever the manager decides to crawl out of bed. The "jus" broth that you can dip beef sandwiches into tasted like plain hot water. Hiding the ingredients away behind the counter is kinda strange ... too when you order. The sandwich I had was good. And I've enjoyed most sandwiches at various other locations. Rosemary parmesan bread is far superior to Subways cheese bread in my opinion. The big knock here was the manager (or atleast it seemed like manager), he served me at cash and I asked for a ... meal, cookie and drink, and he said there fountain machine was broke. Fine by me. Grabs a bottle. It's only a 500ml but ok. Pays and goes to eat. Looks at my receipt out of curiosity and I was charged 2.89 for the drink and 1.49 for cookie. Meal price is 2.49 I believe. I was charged extra because their machine is broke. When I asked about it, I was told bluntly that I didnt have to get a drink. For a sandwich joint in a underused strip mall without much businesses in it, abit of customer service goes a long way and the man who served me (and again appeared to be a manager based on him saying he was doing orders and etc to other employees) did not make it a good experience. Purchased a bowl of soup, when they filled the container there was only enough left to fill it 3/4 of the way. The owner was serving me, I mentioned that the container wasn't full and he snapped at me, asking if I wanted a quarter back to make up for ... the missing portion. So rude, I've never been back and recommend that no one else give this man their business. Read more
