Food was hit or miss. Some items like the noodles weren't great and the baked potato was not good either. Other things like the wings, rice, broccoli and general tso chicken was pretty good. Nothing extraordinary. Ice cream was good, central dairies stuff. Staff was tentative but it was completely dead ... so that was kind of expected. Now the price, pretty ridiculous if you ask me. $30 per person is a bit out there for what it is but I guess that's what covid done to this place. If you want to try it, go for it. New to St John’s from Calgary. Tried a few other Chinese restaurants and was very disappointed. We live close by to the City Light. This is our 3rd order and honestly in my family’s opinion —-one of the best Chinese food we have ever ate! Great work guys. Good prices. ... You can taste their quality in the food. The food is absolutely fantastic, even more flavourful than the buffets, but even the buffets were fantastic too. The service was quick, food was hot and delicious, the server was friendly and efficient. I ordered a $12.99 platter and was pleased with portion sizes and quantity. The food tastes quite good, and the staff were very friendly. The highlights for me were the wonton soup and hot and sour soup, allowing me to have "hot and sour wonton soup ". So good. The second bonus was the delicious pork dumplings, with small bowls nearby so you ... can bring some of the sauce (goya-ish) back to your table for dipping. Ideal for having your dinner with friends, Family members or as a small group. Its a buffet with many choices. Worthy for the price. Usually around 20-30$ pp beverage extra. Staff is very friendly, fast and caring. Nothing to complain about.
