Portobello's is only a few blocks from the Sheraton so came here for supper. It was a great dining experience, we had the daily special appetizers and for the main entre we had the cod dish, the cod fillet was very filling, nicley cooked with the right amount of ... scrunchins. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Service is always above and beyond. Free Parking. Every food choice is not only good but also great portion sizes. The extra menu items are always a hit. And the best part when your done the washrooms have fresh face ... clothes .....perfect touch. Read more
Service was not good, wrong entree, forever for bill and place order. Food came it was good but not great considering you will be paying close to 40 dollars for anything on the menu. Wrong wine came to the table just a disaster. Food is good but definitely not ... deserving only the dollar amount. View not the best, tables are diner tables made to look fancy and decor isn't up to what they are trying to sell it as. Try somewhere else St.John's has other great locations. Read more
Staff were friendly and personable. Service was excellent and the food was delicious! Ambiance was great, too - nice lighting and classic jazz music. I had fresh scallops pan seared with an avocado lime sauce; a salad of Boston lettuce, apple, prosciutto, and candied pecans; an Earl Grey tea; and vanilla-cinnamon ... crème brulée. Delightful! Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a date, special occasion, or a treat for yourself. Read more

Absolutely wonderful!!!! Had the lamb and the strip loin. The staff were prompt but not rushed.The bread pudding was delicious. Nice seating overlooking the harbour. Really nice atmosphere.
