Picked up sandwiches here on our way out of town for later picnic. Realized we had no wine opener and as none were for sale, a fellow customer went to their car and gave us theirs. Newfoundlanders are the best! Also Mrs Breen’s sandwichs far exceeded our expectations!
Breen's Deli on Portugal Cove Rd., St. John's, NL is one of the true old time "Corner Stores" that are such treasures. Many world problems solved and local issues discussed over a hearty bowl of soup or a renowned turkey sandwiche, of course the only complaint on the sandwiche would ... be too much turkey(real turkey), go figure.
