Hearty breakfasts are what the serve here. We couldn't finish our plates, though we tried. Staff is courteous and efficient. We we seated quickly and our orders arrived in no time. Great experience and nice ambiance as well.
I love this place. It's been a favorite for years. Had a very recent visit... Service was great. The portions were huge. Coffee was a little weak. Just had an extra cup. All good. Had the stuffed blueberry and strawberry french toast special, camw with bacon and hashbrowns definitely could have fed 2 people. ... Everything was delicious, especially the giant mimosa!! My friend had a Ceasar that was very good as well. Read more
The Missus and I had lunch and dinner at the Bagel Cafe during our St. John’s visit. Lunch was hectic but we managed to be seated relatively quickly. Tables are a bit cramped and hallways a bit tight. The lighting was also a bit dark. However, maybe that was the ... ambiance being strived for. The food was above average and prices in line with other local eateries in the area. Initially my breakfast came with missing eggs but was delivered by the server on a separate plate. The Missus enjoyed her turkey bagel sandwich and pasta salad. Despite the name Bagel Cafe, there are many other options on the menu and is worth a visit. Read more
Having seen reviews to this restaurant, I wanted to try the toutons. In my opinion, it was similar to a deep fried dough. It did give a good complimentary texture to the savory bean and crispy bacon. I would rate the presentation 10/10. However, the quality is 8/10. Fruits were ... fresh and plentiful. The service was great and attentive. I went after the busy lunch service (2pm) and was served no more than 10 minutes of ordering. Would recommend a try! Read more
People rave about this place. The servers were excellent and very friendly. The food was good- hot and tasty. The coffee was $5.50 for a cup. Regular perk coffee. Ouch. Thats more expensive than the green coffee chain. It's a busy place and feels cramped for my liking.
