Made in Japan a Teriyaki Experience - St. Catharines, Ontario

2nd time coming hungry and leaving hungry. Arrived at 535pm on a Saturday and closed early again. This is the 2nd time. Last time someone reached out to try and fix it but never followed through. I will never eat here again. Get it together.

The people working there were very nice and answered my question and gave me good suggestions. I ordered the hot and spicy noodles with shrimp instead of chicken for $18, and honestly, I was extremely disappointed. The vegetables still felt a bit hard/raw and were really hard to pick up ... with the fork. The food was absolutely drenched in sauce to the point where it was just too much overall it was just really lacking in quality, especially considering the price. The gentleman making the food was amazing. Kind and helpful. The food however... For the amount it cost, you don't get much. Spent 25 dollars and left the mall still hungry. There was a sort of cheapness to the food too. Something I'm ... having difficulty explaining. Read more

Came here for lunch. We ordered chicken & Shrimp - one order with noodles, the other with rice. The shrimp was very delicious! I was surprised how good it made my meal. The chicken was slightly dry. But over the dish was good!

One of the worst experiences I've had at a Teriyaki Experience.. and it's my go-to place for lunch when I'm at the mall shopping (first time at Pen Center). From ordering (very moody young lady, who only seemed interested in accepting my payment and getting to the next paying customer) ... to having to say 3 times I wanted extra T Sauce on my rice and basically having to beg for hot sauce... and don't you dare ask for onion nor mushrooms (which at other locations is INCLUDED).. yup, wanted to up-charge me on both counts. I realize COVID means things have changed, but where's the shredded cabbage, carrots and bean sprouts etc that came with the combo? I also understand that COG did go up, but upcharge for things which normally came with a combo? The food was bland, even with their interpretation of extra sauce. No trace of the hot sauce I begged for and and to be honest, the chicken was as dry as the amazon cardboard boxes in my recycle bin (no I don't eat cardboard). I'm a huge fan of Teriyaki and used to be a regular customer of TE.. that is no longer the case on the latter. Read more
