We have been long time guests here. Our visit tonight was disappointing from a service standard viewpoint. Our server was an older woman with long blond hair that was not tied back. She made us feel like every request we made was a momentous chore. ... Our order arrived plate by plate minutes apart so that no one could eat together. Bacon on 3 dishes were all undercooked. Not the kitchen's fault; she had not related our request for well done bacon to them. Her handwritten bill confirmed this. The bill, by the way, was dropped on the table while I was still eating my meal. Our bacon was brought back and my meal replated to our liking. We have never had an issue with kitchen quality here. Server asked about meal quality after that, only after a request for drink refills. We even had to ask for side dishes with shared apps and napkins. Our empty glasses were ignored until we asked for more drinks. Sadly it seemed she was training a new employee; not trainer material if that's the example she is setting. It's about the people. Brenda in the kitchen, Kelly and Jessie front of house. They are professional and excellent at their jobs, but also warm and friendly. Very good food for a decent price. I got the Western Sandwich lunch special and was surprised with how much it came with for just over $10. Staff were friendly and would check up on you every few minutes to make sure you were okay. The only complaint I had ... was the booths are a bit cramped if you're a bigger person like myself. My husband and I stopped here just by chance. Out shopping and notv eally knowing the area. We got here at 7.45 they close at 8. No problem come on in. We both had the prime rib dinner. Delicious!! Best liver and onions I've ever had, my boyfriend says they have the best spaghetti sauce he has ever had. We live in Hamilton, but still go back 4 times a year for special occasions. Highly recommended....Oh and great staff too!
