The Upper Deck - St. Catharines, Ontario

Enjoyed my lunch a lot! But...I ordered the Upper Deck burger and fries to take out for my husband. The burger was burnt...actually black. First time but won't be the last. We had 5 in our party and seating was fast as was the service. Everyone enjoyed their meal, burgers, wraps and fish and chips. Pleasantly surprised at the prices. Definitely a good bang for the buck.

The server was awesome, the only issue was the table they sat us. On a -9°C day, they made us sit at a table closest to the patio door, they knew draught sneaks in directly to that table... it felt like -2°C there. It was cold. We were told "as ... soon as another table becomes available, we'll move you" We watched as one table cleared, we thought finally, but nope. I went for a bite to eat while my son was at the Athletes Farm. I had the Blue Cheese burger. The meal was ok, but I found the bun to be on the small side and blue cheese flavor to be lost in the toppings. Maybe throw on caramelized ... onions not raw red. If dining with a view was an Olympic sport, Upper Deck would be taking home the gold, silver, and bronze! The panorama from my seat was more breathtaking than trying to suck up a bowling ball with a vacuum cleaner. Now, let's talk food. I was expecting taste, but ... what I got was a flavour symphony conducted by the culinary masters themselves. The prices? In an era when inflation is treating our wallets like they're on a roller coaster ride, Upper Deck is the sensible friend saying, "Hey, relax, have a great meal, and no, I won't rob you blind." Disappointment? Not even in the same dictionary as Upper Deck. The staff was friendlier than a golden retriever on a sunny day, and the servings were more generous than my grandma during Christmas.
