Sunrise Cafe - St. Catharines, Ontario

So I'll start by saying this is partially my fault I shouldn't blindly trust. I was scammed out of my money. I'm American and only has the US dollar on me for cash. I asked if I could pay in US Dollar. The waitress (probably mid 30s early 40s long ... brown hair) told me I could. All I had was a $100 US. She took the $100 and gave me $120 Candian. I didn't even think twice. Well based on today's exchange rate she should have given me $137.20. Dishonest people in this world are what make this world what it is... I guess she got what was coming though because when we paid with the Canadian my kids were so excited about the change and getting Canadian money I completely forgot to tip. I was going to mail her a tip and when I was looking up how much to mail her is when I realized she shorted us from the beginning. She played the part very well. A lovely small cafe with friendly service and great food. We were on a little sisters' trip and stumbled upon the Sunrise Cafe for breakfast on our way to London. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

After a 4-day business function in Niagara Falls, we wanted to find a breakfast place on the way to the airport that wasn’t going to break the bank account! We found this local gem on google map. When we entered the restaurant there was only one table left and we ... were excited because we knew it was going to be good! We ordered Greek omelettes and pancakes. VERY generous portions and we felt bad because none of us could finish our breakfasts! Highly recommend this “husband and wife” owned and operated business! But beware, get there early!! There was a lineup of people waiting for a table right after we sat down! To those individuals who gave reviews criticizing the prices, have you gone grocery shopping lately? Jeez! A great little breakfast place where you can find your all time favourite breakfast items like pancakes, eggs and home fries with tasty sausages and bacon. The great thing about it is these simple meals were cooked perfectly. My easy over eggs were just right, potatoes, sausages and bacon are ... crispy and not drenched in oil. Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Rye toasts are great too, a bit too much butter for my liking but they are tasty nonetheless. They have little tarts to take home too if you’d like.
