Recently went to The Beach for wings and pizza, it was a great deal and food was excellent, service was quick. The owner came out and even greeted us. We weren't greeted for a good amount of time. The girl who was serving us(long blond/brown hair) was very distance no how are you doing, nothing. Our pizza had the wrong ingredients but we ate it because of the long wait. Pizza was hot but the wings were cold. Anything ... brought over was slammed down. Very poor communication skills all of the issues could have been resolved if server asked how things were. The server also left to talk to friends had to ask for someone else. Nice bar but I had issues with server. The server put me on edge at first, made it seem like she really didn't want to talk to us or serve us but I wasn't too bothered by it at first. One of my friends had to go to the bar ... after 15 minutes no service to ask for a menu, and the server told her that they were only serving wings. I was confused because I was seeing other food come out of the kitchen, so I asked again to clarify. She told me extremely rudely while waving her hand at me that the owner told her they were just serving wings now. I didn't understand why other food was coming out and that they had other "late night" menu options yet she was saying this. I would have been okay with it if she had told us nicely, but she was giving A LOT of attitude to me and all of my group of friends. Then, we got another server and she was awesome. She told us that we could get things other than wings (which is what I assumed the whole time). The night went well once we got the better server. I understand you may have student servers but I am a student server and would never talk to a costumer like that girl talked to me. Went with 8-10 people this saturday night. When we showed up it was not busy whatsoever - for a large restaurant there were only 3 tables other than ours and a few people at the bar. DRINKS were ordered to the table and half were never served, we had to approach ... the bar ourselves, remind them of our drink order, and then wait another 15-20 to have our drink made for us (most of which were just pints of beer). FOOD took over an hour to be served. A friend of mine waited an extra 25 minutes after everyone was served because our server punched in her order wrong, yet they offered her no compensation. My food was probably the worst waste of money I've ever experienced. DO NOT order the nachos, 3/20 chips had cheese on them and this is not an over exaggeration, not to mention barely any toppings at all. DO NOT order the mac and cheese balls unless you are expecting a bland 6 pieces for 8.99. I was so utterly disappointed with the service and quality of the food. I will not be attending ever again. Nothing was compensated for in regards to the 1.5 hour wait, no forks/knives/ketchup/napkins were even delivered to the table until after the food was served. If you want to offer 2 specials on a saturday night during a hockey game, try not being understaffed and maybe pay more attention to a table that could have offered positive feedback and tips. Waitress was sweet but slow. Kitchen gave us the wrong pizza and the wings were wrong. When we asked them to correct the pizza and wings it took another 30 minutes to receive the correct order and they never fixed the wings. We had to ask them for a ... discount for the poor service and we're given 2% off our bill after spend an hour and a half waiting for a pizza and two pounds of wings.
